As part of the challenge process, NTA has defined a specific fee structure applicable to each objection raised. The process is as follows:
- ₹200 per question challenged
- Payment must be made online via Debit Card, Credit Card, and Net Banking
- Fee is non-refundable
Important Note: Challenges submitted without payment or after 06 February 2026, 11:50 PM will not be accepted.

Procedure to submit JEE Main 2026 Session 1 paper 1 answer key challenge online:
- Visit https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/
- Click on ‘Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key’
- Log in using your application number, password, and captcha code
- Select the Question ID you want to challenge
- Choose the alternative option(s) you believe are correct
- Upload supporting documents (single PDF file)
- Click ‘Save your claim’
- Review the challenged questions
- Click ‘Save your claim and Pay Fee finally’
- Complete payment of ₹200 per question
- Once payment is successful, your challenge will be submitted for expert review.

What Happens After the JEE Main 2026 Answer Key Challenge?
- All challenges are reviewed by subject experts
- If a challenge is found valid, the final answer key will be revised
- The revised final answer key will apply to all candidates

You will not receive individual notifications about acceptance or rejection. The final answer key published by NTA will be final and binding.
