It outlines activities, events, and administrative tasks planned across the academic year. From classroom preparation to cultural observances, the calendar highlights what schools, teachers, and students will be managing throughout the term.
Before moving on to the monthly schedule, here’s an overview of the daily tasks outlined in the official calendar.
Daily Tasks for School Teachers Highlighted in the Maharashtra School Calendar 2025–26
- Conduct the teaching–learning process in line with annual, monthly, and weekly lesson plans.
- Carry out continuous and comprehensive student evaluation.
- Oversee meal distribution under the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman (PM Poshan) scheme and update beneficiary details on the PM Poshan portal.
- Mark and maintain students’ daily attendance on the VSK portal.

The official calendar also states that regardless of the calendar month, the following tasks are expected to be a part of every teacher’s monthly workflow:
- Plan and implement effective teaching methods and tools to ensure quality teaching–learning.
- Identify students who are lagging behind and provide remedial teaching as required.
- Fill in the HPC (Holistic Progress Card) for all students.
- Register students for various competitive exams, provide guidance, and actively participate in education councils.
- Conduct the ‘Anandmayi Saturday’ (Joyful Saturday) activities.
- Implement all student welfare schemes.
- Ensure regular cleanliness of school premises, classrooms, and other areas.
- Issue school leaving certificates and provide bonafide certificates to students/parents when required.
- Share FLN-related videos with parents through WhatsApp Group.
- Submit monthly reports, attendance allowance details, and other relevant information at month-end.
- Prepare teachers’ salary through the Shalarath system and submit them at the taluka level.
- Implement activities as per agreements with NGOs/other organisations.
- Update the U-DISE Plus portal with student data (import, transfers with TC, Aadhaar, facilities, etc.).
- Implement all activities and initiatives as directed from time to time by central and state governments.
- Conduct relevant activities from monthly magazines like Jeevan Shikshan, Shikshan Sankraman, and Kishor.
- Organise meetings of various school-level committees.
- Under the PM Poshan (Mid-Day Meal) scheme:
- Request required stock of rice and grains.
- Record receipts and ensure proper storage and maintenance.
- Supervise and monitor daily cooking and serving of meals as per student attendance.
- Verify bills for fuel, vegetables, and supplementary nutrition under PM Poshan; clear payments online using allotted grants.
- Maintain all financial records including ledgers, quotations/tenders, vouchers, stock registers, and proceedings.
- Update all official school records regularly.
Here’s how each month unfolds.
June 2025:
- Plan free buying and distribution of student uniforms, shoes, and socks.
- Make the necessary preparations for reopening the school.
- Carry out activities such as school cleaning, announcements (dawandi), home visits, and planning for the School Management Committee meeting and the admission drive.
- Ensure the school premises, restrooms, and classrooms are thoroughly cleaned.
- Clean up school premises, organise the ‘Welcome Fest’ for new admissions, and hold a parent meet.
- Distribute free textbooks and revise key topics to get everyone up to speed.
- Assess learning levels; offer tailored support to students.
- Identify beneficiaries for Attendance Allowance / S.F.D.P. (state educational schemes).
- Roll out Nipun Maharashtra foundational activities.
- Update student promotions on the U-Dise portal. Also, carry out addition of new admissions details.
- Register non-literate individuals under the Nav Bharat Literacy Mission.
- Register new admissions for Std. 1 and update details of scholarship exams (Std. 5 and Std. 8), download results, and update information.
- Actively participate in the Education Conference.
July 2025:
- Lock in teacher increments and send salary details to Taluka office.
- Plant trees and create gardens for a greener campus.
- Distribute free textbooks, participate in out-of-school children drive.
- Set up a tobacco-free school campaign and ensure the distribution of notices, display boards, and photographs accordingly
- Explore Vidyanjali 2.0 portal initiatives.
- Run the ‘Literacy Pilgrimage’ campaign.
- Celebrate the Learning Week under FLN (from 23 July to 31 July).
- Facilitate the filling of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya admission forms.
- Ensure necessary preparation of students for the Foundation Test (PAT-1).
- Collect parental consent forms for students’ APAAR ID and generate the IDs.
- Ensure necessary preparation of students for the Baseline Test (PAT-1).
- Distribute mark sheets of the supplementary examinations for Classes 10 and 12.
- Actively participate in the Education Council.
August 2025:
- Conduct the Foundational Test (PAT-1).
- Establish an Eco Club.
- Facilitate student applications for the RIMC (Rashtriya Indian Military College) Entrance Exam, Dehradun.
- Organise a practice test under the Navbharat Literacy Campaign.
- Implement initiatives such as ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’.
- Conduct health check-ups of students and ensure follow-up for referrals or further medical services.
- Evaluate the answer sheets of the Foundational Test (PAT-1).
- Prepare and submit the Teacher State-Level Innovation Initiative report.
- Fill out online nominations for students under the INSPIRE Award scheme.
- Enter student marks of Foundational Test (PAT-1) on the VSK Portal.
- Organise a Parent-Teacher Meeting to show answer sheets of students and guide them with the required preparation based on performance.
- Conduct Formative Assessment Test No. 1.
- Actively participate in the Education Conference.
September 2025:
- Based on the Formative Assessment Test evaluation, prepare students as required, ensure teacher/student online registration for training, and provide supplementary guidance.
- Celebrate Teachers’ Day (5 September).
- Prepare and register students for Hackathon.
- Organise Literacy Week celebrations.
- Organise Poshan Pandharwada (Nutrition Fortnight, 1–15 September).
- Conduct tests under the Navbharat Literacy Campaign.
- Download the UDISE PLUS DCF form and fill in the online information.
- Verify school details on UDISE PLUS.
- Fill out the NMMS Exam Application Form for Class 8 students.
- Complete the Board Exam Application Forms for Class 10 and 12 students.
- Enter information of students, working teachers, and non-teaching staff on the UDISE PLUS portal and ensure the school’s drop box is zero.
- Make necessary preparations for the ‘Parasbaug competition’.
- Participate in the Rangotsav programme.
- Finalise details of the school, students, and teachers in the UDISE PLUS system and ensure the school’s drop box is zero.
- Actively participate in the Education Conference.
October 2025:
- Celebrate Gandhi Jayanti, Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti (2 Oct), Marathi Language Day (3 Oct).
- Launch ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign and Vidyanjali updates.
- Celebrate Abhijat Marathi Bhasha Din (3 October).
- Celebrate Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti (as per Ashwin Pournima tithi).
- Conduct Test No. 1 under the Marathi Language Foundation.
- For Scholarship Examination of Std. 5 and Std. 8, complete school registration and student applications.
- Review the draft of sanction/approval (sanchmanayata) and make necessary corrections.
- Organise the Summative Assessment 1 (PAT-2).
- Complete the process of the First Term Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE).
- Implement the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ (Cleanliness is Service) campaign.
- Take action regarding the Vidyanjali 2.0 Portal.
- Organise and participate in Role Play and Folk Dance competitions.
- Check answer sheets and record marks of PAT-2 on the VSK portal.
November 2025:
- Record students’ marks from PAT-2 on the VSK portal.
- Celebrate National Education Day (11 November).
- Celebrate Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Jayanti (14 November).
- Add student information on UDISE PLUS as required and submit the correction form.
- Conduct Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) after Summative Evaluation-1 (PAT-2) by showing answer sheets and preparing students accordingly.
- Fill in beneficiary details under the Social Welfare Scholarship Scheme on the NSP portal as required.
- Participate in the Taluka-level Science Exhibition.
- Download and distribute admit cards for the Navodaya Entrance Examination.
- Take active participation in the Education Conference.
December 2025:
- Prepare for Samagra Shiksha audit; keep all records ready.
- Participate in the District-level Science Exhibition.
- Celebrate National Deworming Day (4th December).
- Download and distribute NMMS Examination Admit Cards.
- Conduct Practice Exams for Std. 5 and 8 Scholarship Exams.
- Conduct Practice Exams for Std. 10 and 12 Board Exams.
- Submit Project Presentation for Hackathon under INSPIRE Award.
- Register for the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ initiative.
- Organise Annual Gathering / Cultural Programme as per local planning.
- Organise Student Art, Sports, Cultural and Personality Development Competitions at the district level as per schedule.
- Arrange Student Educational Tours.
- Conduct Tests under the Marathi Language Foundation.
- Take Active Participation in the Education Conference.
January 2026:
- Conduct practice examinations for Scholarship Exams of Std. 5 and 8, as well as for Std. 10 and 12 Board Exams.
- Take necessary action regarding Vidyanjali 2.0 Portal.
- Carry out School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Framework (SQAAF) self-evaluation.
- On National Voter’s Day (25 January), organise awareness activities on voting, letters from students to parents, and various competitions.
- Download and distribute Scholarship Exam Admit Cards to students.
- Download and distribute Navodaya Entrance Exam Admit Cards to students.
- Actively participate in the Education Council.
February 2026:
- Have students practise for various competitive examinations.
- Conduct Scholarship Examinations for Std. 5 and Std. 8.
- Conduct practical/oral examinations for Std. 10 and Std. 12.
- Conduct Formative Assessment Test No. 2.
- Conduct Std. 12 examinations.
- Conduct Std. 10 examinations.
- Prepare and guide students as per the performance in Formative Assessment Test 2.
- Actively participate in educational conferences.
March 2026:
- Make the necessary preparations for Summative Assessment – 2 (PAT-3).
- Conduct family surveys for student registration.
- Organise the foundational test under the ‘New India Literacy Programme.’
- Prepare students / conduct practice sessions for Summative Assessment – 2 (PAT-3).
- Generate and download the UDISE PLUS certificate.
- Organise the test under the ‘Marathi Language Foundation.’
- Actively participate in educational conferences.
- Continue preparing students / conduct practice sessions for Summative Assessment – 2 (PAT-3).
April 2026:
- Implement the activity ‘Gudi Padwa, Pat Wadhva’.
- Conduct Summative Assessment – 2 (PAT-3).
- Prepare a list of eligible students for admission and ensure their enrolment in school.
- Take necessary action regarding the Vidyanjali 2.0 Portal.
- Under the New India Literacy Programme, identify illiterate individuals and upload their information online.
- Prepare students for Summative Assessment – 2 (PAT-3).
- Fill admission forms for entry into pre-military training institutes.
- Enter PAT-3 scores on the VSK Portal.
- Complete Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) for Semester 2.
- Prepare the Annual Report Card.
- Actively participate in educational conferences.
May 2026:
- Announce the annual results and plan for the next academic year.
- Prepare students who failed in classes 5 and 8 for re-examination.
- Distribute report cards for the 10 and 12 standard board exams.
- Remedial teaching for underdeveloped students.
- Maintenance and repair of school materials.
- Organisation of ‘Indian Languages’ summer camp.
