Your NEET (UG) 2025 journey starts with a crucial step i.e filling out the application form correctly. A single mistake can lead to rejection, penalties, or even disqualification from the exam.
But don’t worry! To help you navigate this process smoothly, we’ve compiled the most important dos and don’ts straight from the official NTA information bulletin.
Dos
- Before you pay the fee and submit your application, double-check your eligibility for the exam. Remember, once the fee is paid, it’s non-refundable and cannot be carried forward to a future exam.
- Review all the details carefully as once the application is submitted, you cannot withdraw it.
- Ensure that the information in the online Application Form such as the spellings of names and other details are correct.
- The images to be uploaded in the Application Form must be scanned and in JPG/PDF format only.
- You must ensure that mobile numbers and e-mail ID filled in the online Application Form are your own or Parents/Guardians’ only as the official communication will happen through SMS or e-mail on the given mobile number and e-mail ID.
- If you have passed Class 12, you should fill Code 02 to 07 against the column provided. If you are appearing for Class 12 in 2025, you should select the qualifying code as 01.
- Make sure that you generate and download the confirmation page after submission of application form. The deduction of fees from bank account is not considered proof of payment, and it should be supported by the confirmation page.
- You may preserve at least four copies of the confirmation page along with the fee payment receipt for future reference.
Don’ts
- Don’t fill out more than one Application Form.
- Don’t fill your application with false and fabricated information as they will be rejected and lead to further disqualification from appearing in the exam conducted by NTA. These applications will also be prosecuted and penalised.
- Don’t leave your application incomplete as it can be rejected without further intimation. Similarly, applications not in compliance with the instructions will also be rejected.
- Do not send the physical copy of the Confirmation Page of the online Application Form or any other document to the NTA.
- Do not give address and contact details such as email address and mobile number of coaching classes.
