NEET (UG) 2025 Exam Eligibility: Citizenship
Candidates who are Indian Nationals, Foreign Nationals, Non-Residential Indians (NRIs), Person of Indian Origin (PIO), Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) are eligible to appear for the NEET (UG) 2025.

To enroll for the NEET (UG) 2025, you must be minimum 17 years of age at the time of admission or by 31 December, 2025.

Currently, there is no upper age limit for the NEET (UG) 2025 exam.
NEET (UG) 2025: Necessary Qualifications
- For Indian Nationals, you must have passed the class 12 Board examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as the core subjects.
- For NRIs, you must have passed classes 10 and 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English from a recognised Board.
- For OCIs/Foreign Nationals, you must have passed classes 10 and 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
NEET 2025 Eligibility Criteria: 12th Marks
Your Class 12 Board exam performance plays a crucial role in the NEET eligibility criteria. Based on which category you fall in, to qualify, you must have scored the following:
- 50% for General Category
- 40% for OBC/SC/ST
- 45% for Persons with Disabilities (PwD)
NEET (UG) 2025: Number of Attempts
There are no restrictions on the NEET attempt limit. Previously, in 2017, the maximum number of attempts was set to 3. But this restriction was lifted in 2018.

To verify if you fit the NEET 2025 eligibility criteria, you must have the necessary documents readily available. These include the following:

- Fingers and Thumb impression (Left and Right hand)
