The SCERT, Maharashtra has released an official notice regarding the Rangotsav Competition for the academic year 2025–26 for Std. 3 to 8. This move by SCERT aims at making learning interactive and building important life skills like teamwork, self-discipline, and confidence.

What is the Rangotsav Competition 2025–26 by SCERT?
The program is a state-level competition for primary and secondary school teachers and students from standards 3 to 8. This competition is for all schools regardless of their management or medium of instruction. It aims to provide students with opportunities to engage in various learning activities and experiences.
Eligibility for Participation in Rangotsav Competition 2025–26
Teachers and students from Std. 3 to 8 can participate in the Rangotsav competition forming teams. Each team must consist of 6 to 8 students and 2 teachers (one male and one female).
Note: Schools and teachers who participated in the Rangotsav Competition for the academic year 2023–24 or 2024–25 are not eligible to participate in the year 2025–26.
Details for the Rangotsav Competition 2025–26
Students and teachers have to create a 6 to 8 minutes video on the following four topics:
- Art Integration
- Sports Integration
- Toy-Based Pedagogy
- Story Telling
Let’s take a look at some of the guidelines highlighted for the Rangotsav competition 2025:
- The video must be shot horizontally in English, Marathi, or Hindi languages.
- The video shot should show teachers teaching a subject in a classroom, including inclusive teaching methods, and active verbal and physical responses from students.
- It is extremely important that the submitted video is not one that has been previously presented at the competition.
Submission and Deadline to Students and Teachers for the Rangotsav Video
The video and its respective link needs to be submitted on a Google Drive Link via a Google Form. The deadline for the submission of the created video is 30 September, 2025 by 06 p.m.
Evaluation Process for Rangotsav video 2025–26
The participant video goes through a multi-stage evaluation process. Below given is a detailed explanation of the evaluation process:
District Level: The videos submitted will be evaluated by experts or other education specialists at the district level on 06 October, 2025. The top five selected videos from each district will be further sent to the Regional Academic Authority (RAA) or District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) for shortlisting.
Divisional Level: The Regional Academic Authority (RAA) or District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) will be responsible for conducting the divisional-level evaluation.
State Level: The top three teams from the schools from each division (a total of 24 teams) will be nominated to the SCERT by 10 October, 2025. The final state-level event is tentatively scheduled for 02 December, 2025.
Criteria for Evaluation
Each video carries 100 marks divided into the following criteria:
- Teacher's central idea
- Student participation
- Use of learning material
- Experiential learning
- Impact on viewer
Additional Information
The travel allowance, accommodation, and meals of the participants attending the state-level event will be provided by the council. The honorarium, travel allowance, and refreshments for the judges at the district and divisional levels will be paid from the ‘Teacher Education Annual Grant’.

This initiative by the SCERT, Maharashtra is a fantastic opportunity for both students and teachers to showcase their talent through experiential learning. Such competitive learning initiatives from an early age will empower students to build skills for real–life learning.
