The registration window for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 is now open and the official exam schedule has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The two-session JEE format gives students the flexibility to appear twice in a year, once in Session 1 (January) and again in Session 2 (April).
According to the public notice dated 31 October, 2025 released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the application form for JEE Main 2026 is officially live. However, you are strictly advised to submit only one application form. Submitting multiple forms will be treated as Unfair Means (UFM) and may lead to severe action.

How to Register for JEE Main 2026 Session 1
If you’re applying for JEE Main 2026 Session 1, you need to complete the registration process before filling out the application form.
Here’s what to do:
- Visit the official JEE website and click on ‘New Registration’ to Register for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1.

Note down the system-generated Application Number and fill all the required details carefully.
Note: You should use the generated application number to complete the remaining steps of application and also for future reference.
- Log-in with your system generated application number and pre-created password. Fill in all your personal details. Double check to ensure all the details filled are accurate.
- Upload scanned images of the following documents for successful submission of your application form:
- Passport size photograph
- Std. 10 marksheet
- Identity proof (wherever required)
- PwD/PwBD/UDID certificate (if applicable)
Note: Read all the instructions pertaining to the size and dimensions of the scanned documents on the JEE registration website.
- The last step is to pay your application fees as specified. You can pay your application fee only through online mode using either of the following: Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card or UPI.
Note: Processing fees and GST as applicable will be borne by the candidate.
That’s it! You’re officially on your way to attempting the first session of JEE Main 2026.
