Important Instructions from NTA Advisory
NTA has taken several measures in order to make the entire examination process smoother for candidates. They are as follows:
- NTA envisions to increase the number of examination centers across India, in order to ensure students have easy access to examination centers.
- Special attention is being given to PwD/PwBD candidates to ensure they receive the necessary support.
- JEE 2026 candidates will fill in personal details such as Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Photograph, and Address using UIDAI through Aadhaar authentication. This move is to minimise the procedural difficulties.
- However, since Father/Mother/Guardian's name is not recorded in Aadhaar, candidates will have to fill such details separately in the online application form.
- If there is a name mismatch between a candidate’s Aadhaar Card and Std. 10 marksheet/certificate, NTA will provide an option to resolve the issue during the online application process.
Note: For further details, you can refer to the NTA Public Notice dated 06 November, 2024, which is available on the JEE(Main) official website, named “Advisory and Instructions on Aadhaar Card Name Mismatch while filling up application form for JEE (Main) 2025” which will be applicable for JEE Main 2026.
Conclusion
With this move, the NTA aims to uphold transparency, trust, and integrity in the examination process by ensuring accurate candidate information at every stage.
