The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the Final Answer Key for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 for B.E/B.Tech on its website.
A couple of days ago, the NTA had allowed students to challenge the provisional answer key for the B.E./B.Tech Paper. Following expert review of these objections, the NTA dropped 9 questions entirely from Session 1 of JEE Main 2026.
Here’s what that means:
- Full marks awarded: For each dropped question, all candidates who appeared in the corresponding shift will be given full marks (+4) irrespective of whether they attempted it or not.
- No penalties: Since the question is completely removed from evaluation, there is no negative marking or deduction for that question.
Among the final answer key adjustments, some questions were identified to have multiple valid answers.
The JEE Main Session 1 Result for 2026—including scorecards and percentiles—is expected to be released today, 16 February, 2026 on the official NTA portals.
You should keep your application number and date of birth/password ready to log in and download your results once the link goes live.
