Artificial Intelligence is no longer a concept of the future. It is already shaping classrooms, careers, and everyday life. Recognising this shift, the Government of India, under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has officially launched a National AI Literacy Campaign called YUVA AI for All.
This initiative is designed to equip students, teachers, and young learners with a foundational understanding of Artificial Intelligence in a structured, inclusive, and accessible manner.
According to the Government of India, the objective of launching this campaign is to democratise AI knowledge. The campaign will commence on National Youth Day, that is, 12 January, 2026.

The YUVA AI for All Campaign aligns with the Government’s vision of Viksit Bharat and India’s commitment to inclusive and responsible AI adoption. It aims to make AI literacy a core life skill for the nation’s future workforce and citizens.
This initiative is launched under the IndiaAI Mission of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). The campaign aims to introduce basic AI awareness among students and youth across India through a short, self-paced learning course.

A centralised digital dashboard coordinated by the IndiaAI Mission, will track participation and course completion in real time. The dashboard will provide the following information:
- State-wise and district-wise completion data
- Zone-wise performance insights
- Gender and age-band analytics (where available)
- Population-normalised indicators (completions per 1000 population)
This data-driven approach will support transparency and post-campaign recognition of high-performing States and Districts all across India.
