The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the cancellation of Class 12 board examinations for 2026 in several Middle East countries. The decision was communicated through an official circular dated 15 March, 2026 after reviewing the feasibility of conducting the examinations in the region.

The announcement affects students studying in CBSE-affiliated schools across multiple countries in the Middle East where the Board exams for 2026 were scheduled to take place.

Countries Where the CBSE Class 12 Exams 2026 is Cancelled

According to the circular, all Class 12 Board examinations scheduled between 16 March, 2026 and 10 April, 2026 have been cancelled for students studying in CBSE schools located in:

  • Bahrain
  • Iran
  • Kuwait
  • Oman
  • Qatar
  • Saudi Arabia
  • United Arab Emirates

The cancellation applies specifically to students appearing from these countries through CBSE-affiliated schools.

Earlier CBSE Class 12 Postponed Exams Also Cancelled

The CBSE Board clarified that examinations previously postponed through earlier circulars dated 1 March, 3 March, 5 March, 7 March, and 9 March, 2026 will also stand cancelled.

These earlier notices had already indicated disruptions to the examination schedule. After further review and consultations with schools and authorities in the affected countries, CBSE decided to cancel the examinations entirely.

CBSE to Announce Class 12 Result Policy for Middle East Countries Soon

CBSE has stated that the process and criteria for declaring the results of Class 12 students in these countries will be announced separately.

Students and schools have been advised to wait for further instructions from the Board regarding evaluation and result preparation.
