What Can Be Edited in the JEE (Main) 2025 Session 2 Application Form?
NTA has categorised the editable fields for existing candidates and new applicants differently. Here’s a breakdown of what modifications can be made:
A. For Candidates Who Registered for Session 1 and Have Also Applied for Session 2
Candidates who had already registered for JEE (Main) 2025 Session 1 (28 October–22 November, 2024) and later applied for Session 2 (2 February 2–25 February, 2025) can modify the following details:
- Course/Paper (Change of subject or course selection)
- Medium of Question Paper (English, Hindi, regional languages, etc.)
- State Code of Eligibility
- Examination City Preferences (As per availability)
- Educational Qualification Details (Class 10 and Class 12 information)
- Gender (Male/Female/Other)
- Category (General, OBC, SC, ST, etc.)
B. For New Candidates Who Applied Only for Session 2
New applicants who have registered only for JEE (Main) 2025 Session 2 can make the following changes:
Modify/Change One of These Fields:
- Candidate Name
- Father’s Name
- Mother’s Name
Modify or Add the Following Details:
- Educational Qualification Details (Class 10 and Class 12)
- State Code of Eligibility
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Category
- Sub-Category (PwD status, if applicable)
- Signature
- Paper Selection (Course Change)
What Cannot Be Changed?
- Mobile Number
- E-mail Address
- Permanent and Present Address
- Emergency Contact Details
- Uploaded Photograph of Candidate
Important Note
If any changes affect the fee amount, an additional charge will be applicable. Corrections will be finalised only after payment (if applicable). Once modifications are submitted, the form will be locked, and no further changes will be entertained.
