On Tuesday, 18 February, 2025, a significant milestone in Indian education was set in motion. A high-level meeting, led by Honourable Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, brought together key decision-makers, including senior officials from the Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL), Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), CBSE, NCERT, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghathan (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), and representatives from global schools.
The agenda? Expanding CBSE’s reach beyond India. Discussions centered around the framework and implementation of the CBSE Global Curriculum, designed specifically for foreign students. After thorough deliberation, the decision was made that CBSE will officially launch its Global Curriculum for international students starting from the academic year 2026–27.
