Official Notice by CBSE for LOC Data Submission
Overview of the CBSE LOC Data Correction Window 2025–26 Schedule
- Start Date: 13 October, 2025 (Monday)
- End Date: 27 October, 2025 (Monday)
Note: CBSE has clearly stated that no further corrections will be accepted after this period.
CBSE LOC Data Correction Window Key Guidelines
CBSE has urged parents to take this opportunity seriously and verify all personal and academic details of their wards as recorded in the LOC. Schools are instructed to share this reminder with students and parents immediately.
The Board highlighted the following crucial checks:
- Name Verification: Ensure the student’s full name, mother’s name, and father’s name are entered correctly and in expanded form. Avoid using initials or short forms.
- Surname Inclusion: Students planning to study abroad must have a proper surname entered, as required by several foreign universities.
- Date of Birth (DOB): Verify that the DOB is accurate in all respects and matches the official documents.
- Passport Details: If a passport has already been issued, confirm that the details match the LOC data.
- Subject Entries: Check that all selected subjects are correctly entered. No changes will be considered once the correction window closes.
With competency-based questions expected to carry more weight in this year’s Board exams, many students may struggle to practise them effectively. To address this, our Class 10 CBSE competency-based books provide targeted practice and guidance, helping students build the skills and confidence needed to tackle the CBSE competency-based questions.
CBSE has emphasised that it is the responsibility of both parents and schools to ensure that all information entered is accurate. Any discrepancies left uncorrected may cause complications during examinations or in future document verification.
How is CBSE LOC Data Correction Window Important?
The LOC data forms the foundation for all official CBSE records, including CBSE admit cards, mark sheets, and certificates. Inaccuracies in student details can lead to serious administrative issues during Board examinations and even later in higher education or employment processes.
In Summary
The CBSE’s correction window for Class 10 and 12 LOC data is open from 13 to 27 October, 2025. All schools, parents, and students are strongly advised to cross-check and confirm every detail before the deadline to avoid complications later.
