CBSE has released a crucial notice pertaining to the submission of registration data for Classes 9 and 11 for the academic year 2025–26. This step is vital as only the students who are registered through this process will be eligible to appear for Class 10 and 12 Board exams in the academic year 2026–27.

Why is it Important to Register for CBSE Class 9 and 11?
This process of registration will be uploaded into the CBSE system for the upcoming Board exams of Class 9 and 11. Students who fail to register will be excluded from the List of Candidates (LOC) for future Board exams.

Eligibility to Register for CBSE Class 9 and 11
- Only regular and bonafide students of schools are to be registered via the prescribed process
- No student from unauthorised or unaffiliated CBSE institutions can be registered through this process
- Students regularly attending the schools are to be registered
- Correct personal details (name, date of birth, parents’ names) and subject selection must be ensured to avoid future complications
- For Class 11 students, it is necessary that they have been declared passed in Class 10 Board examination by the concerned Board
The registration process will take place through the Pariksha Sangam link given on the official CBSE website.
New Changes Introduced by CBSE in the Process of Registration
- As per the National Education Policy 2020, CBSE has notified about conducting two Board examinations for Class 10. This significant change in pattern demands robust coordination and execution at all the levels.
- CBSE has also decided to link the APAAR ID of candidates for both Class 9 and 11 at the time of registration.
- After the last date of registration, a verification slip will be generated by schools for each candidate that is registered. This registration slip has to be kept safe for future LOC filling.
- For any wrong data, the correction window will be opened by CBSE from 14 November, 2025 to 28 November, 2025. After this date the correction window will be closed and no further corrections will be allowed by CBSE.
Guidelines for Principals of CBSE Schools and Colleges
- The principal of the respective schools and colleges must ensure that a meeting is held in regards to the teachers and officials responsible for the process of submission of registration of data. The principal must also ensure that a briefing is held among the students of Class 9 and 11, conveying the importance of registration and submission of correct data.
- All affiliated schools are required to register their students before proceeding the online submission of data. Schools must use their ‘registration number’ as user ID. The password will remain the same as used in OASIS.

- The CWSN category must be carefully selected and submitted in the registration data for relaxations to be applied to those students.
Process of Submission of Registration Data on Online System
- Before registering Class 9 and 11 students, the teachers list on the OASIS and HPE portal must be updated. The names of teachers who have left the school shall be deleted and similarly the names of new joiners must be added.
- The list must have full names of teachers and no abbreviations.
- Schools are requested to fill in the full names of the candidate, mother, and father/guardian. No abbreviations shall be used while filling the data.
- Schools have to upload the photographs and signatures of their bonafide students in Class 9 and 11 before the final submission.
- Information about the annual income of the parent(s) may be collected as given by them in order to grant students scholarships if they are eligible.
- Students will be allowed to take Board exams only for the subjects that are declared eligible. Schools should check the valid/invalid combinations of subject list provided by the Board.
CBSE Schools to Ensure Submission of Correct Data for Registration
- The schools must bring to the notice of the students and parents that the correct data is to be provided for registration and accordingly guide the.
- Registration details will be provided to the students and the parents in the form of a registration card by the school to confirm the correctness of the details.
- The list of Candidates (LOC) will be based on the data provided in the registration record.
- Parents will sign the registration and LOC as a confirmation of the correctness of the data.
- Parents will sign an undertaking at the back of the Classes 10 and 12 Marks Statement Cum Certificate confirming that they have checked the data and found it correct.
Schools must reconfirm all the details of the candidates through the appropriate documents. Schools will be responsible for all the data uploaded at the time of registration.
Note: All principals are directed to seek the report from the concerned teacher/ official 5 days before the last date, about the status of the registration, and the fee payment. It is the first responsibility of the principal to ensure that the registration of all eligible students with correct data is submitted within the scheduled timeline.

Note: Visually impaired candidates are exempted from the payment of registration fees. The payment of fees will be accepted through online mode only.
The fees for all the payments will be accepted through the following digital modes by CBSE:
- India: Internet Banking/UPI/Debit Card/Credit Card/NEFT/RTGS
- Foreign Countries: Countries including Nepal, Internet Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/SWIFT
Once the payment is made schools are advised to regularly check their bank account for any kind of unsuccessful payments/rejections.
