The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an official notice regarding the submission of application under various categories of affiliation for the session 2027–28. This is an important update for CBSE-affiliated schools, principals, and teachers. The applicant schools are requested to follow the guidelines of automated affiliation system given in SARAS Manual 7.0.

Important Dates For Online Application For Affiliation And Mode of Inspection
The affiliated schools that are willing to fill the online application form must read all the guidelines given in the SARAS Manual 7.0 on the official website.

Note: All applicant categories for foreign/international, Government, and Government aided schools will remain open throughout the year.
Important Instructions for All CBSE Affiliated Schools
- All existing schools must ensure that the OASIS data is correctly updated.
- All the documents with the teachers details and their qualification must be updated on the schools’ website and under Mandatory Public Disclosure.
- Schools that are willing to apply must also complete their SQAAF.
- Schools introducing additional subjects and also seeking approval for non-science subjects should update their OASIS data and offer subjects as per the Board norms.
- Schools that are due for extension (whose affiliation is valid up to 31 March, 2027) or whose extension is pending, need to apply for extension first in order to be eligible to apply under any other category.
- Schools affiliated under category ‘Middle Class Syllabus’ are required to apply for upgradation either to Secondary or Senior Secondary Level within 5 years of their affiliation with the Board.
