The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an important circular outlining the live webcast on the modalities for conducting the CBSE Board Examinations 2026. With 460,000 students appearing for the Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12) Board exams this year, it is vital that schools, principals, and teachers understand the key details of this webcast and why it matters.

Why Is This Live Webcast Important?
Before the Board Exams, that are scheduled from 17 February, 2026 to 10 April, 2026, CBSE is organising a live webcast for all affiliated schools. This session is designed to explain:
- New guidelines and procedures for the 2026 Board exams.
- On-Screen Marking (OSM) for Class 12 evaluations.
- Two Board Exams option for Class 10.
- Detailed responsibilities for school officials and teachers.
These changes are significant because they directly impact how CBSE Board exams 2026 will be conducted and evaluated.
Details About The Live Webcast And How To Join
The Webcast will be conducted on 13 February, 2026, 11 a.m. onwards. It will take place on the official CBSE YouTube channel.
The schools will have to follow the given steps in order to live stream the webcast:
- Log on to the link or go to You tube and search BoardExams@CBSE.
- You will require a screen, a sound system, and an internet connection to view the Webcast.
- All schools have to compulsorily make arrangements to watch the Live Webcast under the supervision of the school principal.
- All teachers teaching Classes 09 to Classes 12 and other staff involved in the conduct of examination and evaluation should watch the webcast. You are expected to note down important instructions pertaining to your role in the examination.
- The exam centers that have already received the guidelines for the CS and the schools that attend the Webcast shall connect on [email protected] for any queries.
- RDS/ROs along with their officers/officials shall attend the Webinar.
- Each school is required to download the ASAR app and upload the following:
- A geotagged image covering the participants.
- Total number of participants in the program.
The live webcast will begin with a keynote address by Sh. Rahul Singh (IAS), Chairperson, CBSE. This session is expected to provide valuable guidance and clarity for the upcoming CBSE Board Examinations 2026. All schools are therefore requested to ensure their participation as per the scheduled date and time.
