Starting this Wednesday, Maharashtra is witnessing the launch of MHT CET for Class 12 students. With over 7 lakh candidates expected to appear, this exam season marks a significant milestone in the state’s academic calendar, targeting aspirants aiming for engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture programs.

Measures for Exam Security
This year, the Maharashtra CET Cell has pulled out all stops to ensure the exams are conducted with unprecedented levels of transparency and security. Hon. Shri. Dileep Sardesai, Commissioner of CET Cell stated, ‘We have taken crucial steps to ensure exams are fair and transparent.’
The measures include:
- Invigilators equipped with body cameras.
- Live video feed from centres to the CET Cell headquarters in Mumbai.
- CCTV surveillance at all examination centres.
- Facial recognition and biometric attendance to curb impersonation.

A Widespread Network of Centres
To manage this massive turnout, 389 exam centres have been set up:
For MHT CET 2025 PCB: Total 181 centres have been set up. Out of which 172 are in Maharashtra, while 09 are outside Maharashtra.
For MHT CET 2025 PCM: 208 Centres have been set up overall. 195 centres are located in Maharashtra, while 13 are out of the State.
This widespread setup ensures accessibility for candidates, even from remote and out-of-state locations.
