Are you gearing up for CUET (UG) 2025? Then before you dive into the actual exam preparation, there’s one crucial step you can’t afford to get wrong—filling out your application form.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has set strict rules for the application process. Once the application form filling process is complete, there’s no going back: no edits or changes.
Sounds stressful? Don’t worry! We're here to walk you through the key guidelines so you can fill out your application form without any hiccups.
NTA’s Official Guidelines for CUET (UG) 2025
1. Accuracy of Information:
You must ensure that all details entered in the online application form (name, contact details, category, gender, exam city preference, etc.) are correct, as changes will not be allowed after the application process.
2. Finality of Submitted Details:
Information provided in the application form will be treated as final. So make sure to put in your own details and not provide false information.
3. Correct Contact Details:
All important communications from NTA will be sent via email and SMS. So ensure you provide your own or your parents’ functioning email ID and mobile number.
4. City Allotment:
Make sure to select four preferred cities in your application form that are close in vicinity and accessible to you. While every effort will be made to allocate your preferred examination city based on the choices selected in your online application, you may be assigned a different city due to administrative or logistical constraints.
If the number of candidates choosing a specific city with a regional language option is below the required minimum, you may be assigned an exam center in a different city, regardless of your original preference.
5. Complete Online Process:
The application process, including document uploads, fee payment, and admit card download, is entirely online. No physical documents should be sent to NTA.
Common Mistakes to Avoid While Filling the CUET (UG) 2025 Application Form
Many applicants face issues due to avoidable mistakes. Here’s what you should watch out for:
1. Incorrect Personal Details:
Even small spelling mistakes in your name or date of birth can create problems later. Cross-check all details before submission.
2. Mismatched Documents:
Ensure the name and other details on your application form match those on your official documents (Aadhaar Card, Class 10 certificate etc.). You are required to provide documentation in accordance with the NTA's approved list of permissible documents.
3. Unclear or Invalid Uploads:
Upload a recent, clear photograph and signature in the prescribed format. Blurry or incorrect file formats may lead to rejection.
4. Selecting the Wrong Exam City:
Be mindful while choosing your preferred exam cities, as changes may not be allowed after submission.
5. Incomplete Application Submission:
Just filling out the form isn’t enough. Ensure you complete the fee payment process and receive confirmation of registration.
6. Submitting Multiple Applications:
Submitting more than one application can lead to disqualification. Stick to one correctly filled form. Double-checking these aspects will save you from unnecessary stress later. A little caution now can prevent big issues on the exam day!
