The school bell is about to ring again as the new academic year begins. As reported by Lokmat, CBSE schools will reopen on 09 June, while State Board schools are scheduled to commence from 16 June, 2025.
Maharashtra State Board Academic Term Duration
According to Hon. Shri. Shivaji Shinde, President of the Pune City Principals' Association, the first term for State Board schools will run from Monday, 16 June to Thursday, 16 October, 2025.
Preparations in Maharashtra Schools for Re-opening in Full Swing
The Education Department has also issued safety guidelines for all schools. Many schools have already completed the admission process, textbook distribution, and academic planning.
Meanwhile, parents are also busy purchasing school supplies like stationery, for their children, as well as graph books, drawing books, and other essentials. Many parents are focusing on quality study material to support their child’s learning.
New Facilities and Learning Initiatives in School Re-opening
Preparations are underway in some schools to introduce smart classrooms, digital learning tools, and innovative educational activities. These upgrades aim to modernise the learning environment and promote engagement.
