The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), Pune, has released a notice regarding Form No. 17, the registration form for private candidates planning to appear for the Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 (HSC) Board Exams in February–March 2026.
Here’s everything you need to know.
Maharashtra SSC and HSC Form 17 Submission Period
Forms must be submitted online only. Offline submissions will not be accepted.
The application form window is available as follows: 01 August, 2025 (Friday) to 31 August, 2025 (Sunday).
Important Details for Maharashtra Form 17 Private Candidates
Eligibility:
Any private student wishing to appear for SSC or HSC exams. They must register through Form No. 17 online on the official website: www.mahahsscboard.in
Documents Required:
- School Leaving Certificate (original or duplicate with affidavit)
- Aadhaar Card
- Passport-size photograph
Note: All documents must be scanned and uploaded during form submission.
Registration Process:
- Visit the official site and navigate to the Student Corner.
- Read the instructions (available in Marathi and English) before filling out the form.
- After submission, print a copy of the completed form and Payment receipt.
Submit these along with the original documents to the selected school/junior college within the deadline.
Board Exam Institution Selection:
- Based on your current address, medium, and stream, a list of affiliated schools/colleges will appear.
- You must select one. This institute will handle your internal assessments, practicals/orals, and other exam-related duties.

Note for Students with Disabilities:
Differently-abled students applying privately must attach a certified copy of their disability certificate or UDID card issued by the District Civil Surgeon.
Other Provisions:
Students from the Maharashtra State Open School Board who have passed Class 5 or Class 8 can register for Class 10 exams as private candidates.
Enrollment Certificate and Next Steps:
Eligible students will receive their Enrollment Certificate online. After that, they must fill the final exam application form (with exam fees) within the Board’s designated window.
