The State Common Entrance Test Cell has officially released the CAP Admission Schedule for B.E./B.Tech. (4 years) and Integrated Master of Engineering and Technology (5 years) programs for the academic year 2025–26.
Here’s a detailed overview of key dates, eligibility criteria, registration process, and important instructions to help you navigate the admission process smoothly.
B.E./B.Tech. CAP Admissions 2025: Eligibility Criteria
The B.E./B.Tech. CAP admissions eligibility varies depending on the candidate type (Maharashtra State, All India, NRI, OCI, etc.), but general requirements include:
- Passing 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one from Chemistry/Biology/IT/Technical/Vocational/Computer Science/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies/Electronics/Entrepreneurship/Informatics Practices subjects.
- Minimum 45% aggregate marks (40% for MHT CET reserved categories from Maharashtra).
- Non-zero score in MHT CET (PCM) 2025 or JEE (Main) depending on your candidature.
B.E./B.Tech. CAP 2025 Admission Dates
B.E./B.Tech. registration will be conducted through the official website www.mahacet.org or on the admission portal cetcell.mahacet.org/cap-_2025-26/

Important Note: B.E./B.Tech. CAP application forms submitted after 08 July, 2025 will be considered only for Non-CAP seats. Those confirmed by Scrutiny Centre/Facilitation Centre after 09 July, 2025 shall also be considered only for Non-CAP Seats.
B.E./B.Tech. CAP Admissions: Document Verification Process
Following are the two modes available for B.E./B.Tech document verification:
1. E-Scrutiny Mode (Online)
- Upload scanned documents and submit the form online.
- No need to visit the facilitation center.
- Status and corrections (if any) are communicated via your login credentials.
2. Physical Scrutiny Mode
- Visit the designated Facilitation Centre (FC) i.e Scrutiny Centre with original documents.
- Online application will be verified and confirmed by the FC. They will also issue a receipt cum acknowledgement after verification and confirmation of application form.
- The FC will resolve all candidate grievances.
Tip: Choose only the mode that’s convenient for you and plan accordingly.
B.E./B.Tech. CAP 2025 Admissions Application Fees
- If you've already registered for MHT CET 2025, there's no need to pay any fee for the B.E/B.Tech admissions 2025–26 process.
- However, if you have a valid score from JEE (Main) or NEET (UG) for 2025–26 and haven't registered for MHT CET 2025, then you'll need to pay a fee.
- The payment can only be done online via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI, and the fee is non-refundable.
- No other payment methods are accepted.

Important Instructions for B.E/B.Tech Admissions 2025–26
- Ensure all documents are verified within the deadline. Unverified applications will not be included in the merit list.
- Reserved category candidates must upload valid Caste/Tribe Validity Certificates and Non-Creamy Layer Certificates (if applicable).
- Candidates unable to submit certificates must pay the category fee difference and will be treated as general category for admission.
- Migrant candidates from J&K and Ladakh must report to SPCE, Mumbai for confirmation.
- The schedule for option form filling and CAP allotment for B.E/B.Tech Admissions 2025–26 will be announced soon.
