The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the final answer key for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 (Paper 1: B.E./B.Tech), marking the last step before the declaration of results.

From Provisional to Final: What Changed?
Earlier this month, NTA had released the provisional answer key along with question papers and recorded responses, allowing you to raise objections between April 11, 2026 and April 13, 2026.
After reviewing all submitted challenges, the NTA has now published the final answer key, incorporating necessary corrections. Notably, two questions from Physics have been dropped, which will be taken into account while calculating scores.

How Your JEE Main Score Is Calculated
The NTA follows a structured evaluation process to ensure fairness across multiple shifts.
First, raw marks are calculated using the official marking scheme:
- +4 marks for each correct answer
- –1 mark for each incorrect answer
Since the exam is conducted in multiple sessions, these raw scores are then normalized to calculate the NTA score (percentile). This ensures that no one is disadvantaged due to varying difficulty levels across shifts.
How to Estimate Your Scores
You can calculate your JEE Main Session 2 (BE/BTech) scores by referring to the Final Answer Key:
- All options correct: If you attempted the question, you will get 4 marks.
- Multiple correct options: If you selected at least one correct option, you will receive 4 marks.
- Incorrect or dropped questions: If a question is invalid or removed, you will automatically be awarded 4 marks.

With the final answer key now released, the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 results, scorecards, and All India Rank (AIR) are expected to be announced anytime soon on the official website.
