The Curriculum Framework for Computational Thinking (CT) and Artificial Intelligence
CBSE has launched the Curriculum Framework for Computational Thinking (CT) and Artificial Intelligence in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and National Curriculum Education. This is applicable for all CBSE students from Classes 03 to 08 for the academic year 2026–27.
Objective of the Curriculum Framework for Computational Thinking (CT) and Artificial Intelligence
The cirriculum aims at:
- Developing AI-ready learners by strengthening foundational computational thinking skills. This skills include logical reasoning, problem-solving. Pattern recognition, and algorithmic thinking.
- Promotion of digital literacy, ethical use of technology, and intergration of Computational Thinking (CT) across all subjects.
This initiative by the CBSE is to understand the relevance of AI in everyday life. It aims at using AI in everyday tasks with creativity, critical thinking, and innovation.
