NEET UG 2026 Refund: Why Has NTA Extended the Deadline?
The NTA had earlier issued a public notice on 30 June, 2026, asking candidates to verify or update their bank account details for the refund of the examination fee related to the NEET UG 2026 examination conducted on 03 May, 2026.
According to the latest public notice issued on 07 July, 2026, around 10,28,223 candidates have already updated and confirmed their bank account details, and the refund process has begun for them.
Many eligible candidates have not yet completed the process. Therefore, NTA has extended the refund portal once again.
NEET UG 2026 Refund Deadline Extended
If you have not yet confirmed or updated your bank account details, you must complete the process by 14 July, 2026 (up to 11:50 p.m.).
The extension has been provided to help eligible candidates receive their examination fee refund without unnecessary delay.

To submit or update your bank account details, you need to:
- Log in to the NEET UG 2026 registration portal.
- Complete the required two-factor authentication.
- Click on the "Bank Account Details Confirmation / Updation" link.
- Submit or update your bank account details.
- You may also upload a cancelled cheque, if you wish, to help ensure the accuracy of your bank account information.

This extended opportunity is meant for candidates who have not yet confirmed, corrected, or updated their bank account details for the refund of the examination fee of the NEET UG 2026 examination held on 03 May, 2026.
