Hello MHT CET 2025 aspirants,
In a public notice dated 30 April, 2025, the State Common Entrance Test Cell has announced that a MHT CET (PCM) 2025 re-examination will be conducted on 05 May, 2025.
Why Is There a Re-Exam?
So, why is the re-exam happening? The decision to conduct a re-examination follows issues that compromised the fairness and integrity of the original MHT CET (PCM) exam held on 27 May, 2025.
A total of 21 significant errors were identified in the Mathematics section of the English-medium question paper, which was taken by 24,744 students. Since each Mathematics question carries 2 marks, it holds double the weightage of other sections, potentially impacting students' overall scores significantly. Thus, the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has decided that the best course of action is to give students another opportunity to take the exam.
Who Needs to Take the Re-Exam?
Not everyone needs to appear for the re-exam. The re-test is specifically for students who attempted the MHT CET 2025 exam held on 27 May, 2025 in the morning slot.
If you fall into this category, it is crucial to review the official notification released by the CET Cell on 02 May, 2025, which lists the name of candidates who are required to retake the exam. This will confirm whether or not you need to attempt the re-examination.
