MSBSHSE Private Student Registration 2027: Important Dates
The Board has announced the schedule for accepting online private student registration applications (Form No. 17) for the SSC and HSC February–March 2027 examinations.

Who Can Apply for Maharashtra SSC & HSC Private Student Admission 2027?
Eligibility for SSC Private Candidates
- You must submit the application only through the school where you previously studied.
- Before filling the online form, you should obtain your school code, subject scheme, medium, and other necessary details from your previous school.
- Students who have passed Std. 5 and failed between Std. 6 and 9 can apply through their previous school.
- Students who have passed Std. 8 are also eligible to register as private candidates.
- The application must be submitted online only.
Eligibility for HSC Private Candidates
- You should complete your registration through the Higher Secondary School or Junior College where you previously studied.
- Before filling the online application, obtain your college code, stream, subject scheme, medium, and other required details.
- Students who passed Std. 10 in the February-March 2025 or June-July 2025 examinations are eligible to appear as private candidates for the February-March 2027 HSC examination.
- Candidates who have passed or failed First Year Junior College (Std. 11) should ensure that their names are not on the attendance register after 31 May.
How to Apply for Maharashtra Board Private Student Registration 2027
To complete your application, you need to:
- Visit the Student Corner on the official MSBSHSE website.
- Fill in the online Form No. 17.
- Pay the applicable registration fee online.
- Take a printout of the application form and fee payment receipt.
- Submit the printed application along with the original documents to the school or junior college mentioned in your application within the prescribed timeline.
The Board has also provided application instructions in both Marathi and English on its website. If you are a student from another state or abroad, you must mention your address as per the residence certificate issued by the competent authority.
Documents Required for Maharashtra Private Student Registration
Keep the following documents ready before filling the online application:
- School Leaving Certificate (original copy). If unavailable, submit a duplicate copy along with an affidavit
- Aadhaar Card
- Passport-size photograph
You must scan these documents and upload them while filling the online application. The Board has instructed students to upload the documents in PDF format using a scanner or mobile phone.
Your mobile number and email ID are also mandatory for future communication. If documents are incomplete, the application is marked ‘Incomplete’ and returned for correction.
Maharashtra SSC & HSC Private Student Registration Fees 2027
The registration fee structure is as follows:

How Can You Pay the Registration Fee?
The registration fee must be paid online through any of the following payment methods:
- Debit Card
- Credit Card
- UPI
- Net Banking
Once the payment is successful, the fee receipt will be available in the login of the student and the respective school/junior college.
Important Instructions for SSC & HSC Private Students and Institutes
Before submitting your application, keep these important points in mind:
- Submit the printed application form, payment receipt, and original documents to the designated school or junior college within the specified period.
- Eligible students will receive their Enrollment Certificate online.
- After receiving the Enrollment Certificate, eligible students must submit the Examination Form along with the examination fee within the time prescribed by the Board.
- Previous School/Junior College Responsibilities: The previous school or junior college is responsible for conducting the required project work, practical examinations, oral examinations, and internal assessments for private candidates and submitting the marks to the Board.
- Applications Through Previous Institution: Schools and junior colleges have been instructed to accept registration applications from their former students and, subject to the approved capacity, from students residing in the same village or nearby areas.
- SSC Self-Study Booklets: Self-study booklets for SSC private candidates will be available online in Marathi, English, Hindi, and Urdu. No offline copies will be provided.
Special Instructions for Certain Students
For Students with Disabilities
If you wish to appear as a private candidate, you must submit a photocopy of your disability certificate or UDID Card issued by a hospital authorised by the District Surgeon along with your application. You should also contact the concerned Divisional Board or Secondary College for further guidance.
For Maharashtra State Open School Board Students
Students who have passed Std. 5 or Std. 8 through the Maharashtra State Open School Board are eligible to register as private students for the SSC (Std. 10) examination through Form No. 17.
