Students who are planning to secure admission to first year junior college (FYJC) now have additional time to complete their applications, as the registration window under Regular CAP Round 1 has been extended.

Maharashtra FYJC Admission 2026-27: Registration Extended for Class 11 Online Admission
The Maharashtra Class 11 Centralised Online Admission Process for the 2026–27 academic session officially began earlier this month. The authorities stated that till 22 May, 2026, a total of 11,36,650 students had completed registration.
The registration process for Regular CAP Round 1 started on 21 May, 2026 and was initially scheduled to conclude on 23 May, 2026. However, the deadline is now extended.

Preference Filling Rules for FYJC Admission 2026
You are required to:
- Fill preferences for a minimum of 1 junior college.
- Select a maximum of 10 junior colleges.
- Carefully arrange colleges according to preference order.
College allotment will be based on:
- Student preferences.
- Marks obtained.
- Applicable reservation criteria mentioned in the application.
Maharashtra FYJC Quota Admission 2026
The notification also includes instructions for those of you applying under quota-based admissions.

- Management Quota
- In-house or Institutional Quota
- Minority Quota
If are applying through quota admissions, you should note the following:
- Quota registration and preference locking must be completed online.
- Re-locking quota preference applications during Regular Round 1 is mandatory.
- Colleges will separately process quota applications and publish merit or selection lists.

Maharashtra FYJC Allotment List 2026: What Happens After Seat Allocation?
After the completion of the allotment process, the official portal will publish:
- Junior college allotment lists.
- Student-wise allotted college details in login accounts.
- List of allotted students for colleges.
- Admission round cut-off lists.
- SMS notifications for students.
If you are satisfied with your allotted college, you must:
- Click on ‘Proceed for Admission’.
- Visit the allotted junior college.
- Complete document verification.
- Pay prescribed fees.
- Confirm admission within the deadline.
Colleges will also have the authority to:
- Confirm admissions
- Reject applications where necessary
- Cancel admissions if required
Maharashtra FYJC Quota Admission Process After Selection
If are selected under quota categories:
- Colleges will contact you.
- Selection information will be communicated during the admission period.
- You must personally visit the college and confirm admission.
- Colleges will conduct document verification before confirming admission.
