The decision follows representations received by NTA from candidates regarding errors in their application forms. The facility aims to give candidates another opportunity to submit their details correctly.

Important Rules for Submitting a Fresh Application Form
Before submitting another JEE Main 2027 application form, understand these important guidelines issued by NTA.
1. Only the Last Successfully Completed Application Will Be Valid
If you submit multiple application forms, only the last form for which the examination fee has been successfully paid and the Confirmation Page has been generated will be considered valid.
Note: If you submit a fresh form but do not complete the fee payment or generate its Confirmation Page, your earlier successfully completed application will remain valid.
2. Previously Paid Examination Fees Will Not Be Adjusted
The examination fee paid for an earlier application will neither be refunded nor adjusted against the fresh application. You will have to pay the examination fee again for the new form.
3. Use the Correction Facility for Minor Changes
If you only need to amend certain details in your existing application form, NTA advises using the correction facility instead of submitting a fresh form.
4. Multiple Application Numbers Do Not Mean Multiple Attempts
You can submit multiple application forms, but this does not allow you to appear more than once in JEE Main 2027 Session 1.
Appearing or attempting to appear in the examination using more than one Application Number will be treated as Unfair Means (UFM), and action will be taken.
Note: However, simply holding more than one Application Number without appearing in the examination using them will not be treated as UFM.
