What Happened During the CUET (UG) 2026 Examination?
The CUET (UG) 2026 examination was scheduled for 30 May, 2026 (Shift-I). However, technical difficulties at some centres led to delays in the commencement of the test.
As per the NTA:
- A total of 73,106 candidates were present at their allotted CUET (UG) examination centres.
- Biometric registration was successfully completed for all these candidates.
- Out of them, 69,341 candidates, nearly 95% of those present, completed their examination on the same day.
- However, 3,765 candidates left their examination centres before the examination resumed due to the delay caused by the technical glitch.
CUET (UG) 2026 Re-Examination Opportunity
As a one-time measure, the NTA has decided to provide another opportunity to those of you affected by the technical glitch.
This facility will be available for those who meet the following conditions:
- If you were present at your allotted CUET (UG) 2026 examination centre on 30 May, 2026 during Shift-I.
- If you successfully completed the biometric registration process at the CUET (UG) 2026 examination centre.
- If you were unable to appear for the examination due to the delay caused by the technical glitch at CUET (UG) 2026 examination centre.
When Will the CUET (UG) 2026 Re-Examination Be Held?
The agency has stated that the date, timing, and other details regarding the rescheduled CUET (UG) 2026 examination will be announced separately.
