The State CET Cell, Maharashtra, has released a crucial update for candidates and institutes regarding Institute Level (IL) Admissions 2025–26 for technical education courses. If you’ve missed out during the CAP rounds or are looking at institutional quota seats, this one’s for you.
Here’s a simplified breakdown of what the latest public notice means—and how you can act on it.
What are CET Institute Level Admissions 2025?
Institute Level Admissions cover two types of seats:
- Vacant seats after all CAP rounds are complete
- Seats under the Institutional Quota
Who should use the Institute Level Option Form 2025?
This option form is intended for candidates who are unable to apply directly to the institutes. The State CET Cell will forward these applications to the respective institutes after the completion of CAP Round 4. Institutes will then consider all these applications when they prepare their Inter-Se-Merit List for Institute Level Admissions.
How to Access and Submit the Institute Level Option Form?
The link for the Institute Level Option Form will be made available in the candidate's individual login on the CAP portal for their specific course. It's important to note that this link will not be active during the CAP Round Option Form submission period.
- Go to www.mahacet.org
- Click on the ‘Admission Portal for A.Y. 2025–26’ link
- Select your course
- Log in using your Login ID and Password
- Choose the ‘Institution Level Preference’ option
- Fill in your choices and submit
Important Instructions
- Form Access: The IL Option Form will appear in your login as per the schedule. Keep an eye on updates on the CAP portal for your course.
- Applications Forwarded by CET Cell: Once you submit the form, the CET Cell will forward it to the respective institutes.
- Merit List Consideration: Institutes will include your application while preparing the Inter-Se-Merit List for IL admissions.
- Stay Updated with Institutes: Even though you apply through the CAP portal, admissions are managed by individual colleges. So, check their notices and timelines regularly.
- Reach Out If Needed: Have questions? You’ll need to contact the institutes directly for any guidance—they’re the ones managing the IL process.
