The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially issued a prior intimation to all affiliated schools regarding the Board examination schedule for the academic session 2025–26. The CBSE Board will be conducting three exam cycles—requiring early preparation and complete data accuracy from schools.

CBSE 2026 Board Exams: Tentative Exam Schedule Announced
In a notice dated 30 July, 2025, CBSE outlined the following schedule for the 2026 Board examinations:
- Main Examinations for Classes 10 and 12: Tentatively February/March 2026
- Second Examination for Class 10: Tentatively May 2026
- Supplementary Examination for Class 12: Tentatively July 2026
With three separate assessments to manage, the Board emphasised the need for systematic coordination and urged schools to be prepared in advance to ensure smooth execution.

This change marks a shift in how the academic calendar will be managed. Thus, putting the spotlight on timely and error-free submission of student data.
CBSE LOC Submission 2025–26: What Schools Must Do
In previous years, CBSE has encountered challenges in managing timelines and logistics, often due to inconsistencies or gaps in the data submitted during the List of Candidates (LOC) process.
To avoid previous year’s setbacks, CBSE has urged all affiliated institutions to take the following steps before the CBSE LOC submission window opens:
- Verify and update full names, dates of birth, category details, and parent/guardian names as per the admission register.
- Ensure correct subject selection as per the prescribed scheme of studies.
- Collect and upload photographs and signatures in the specified format.
- Obtain and include each student’s APAAR ID for registration.
CBSE also stressed that any corrections after submission would not only delay the process but also inconvenience students—something the Board is actively working to avoid this year.
