The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay has opened the registration process for the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) 2027.
UCEED 2027 will be conducted on 17 January 2027, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The three-hour examination will be held at designated examination centres across the country. Candidates who qualify can apply for B.Des. programmes at participating institutes, including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur.

UCEED 2027 Registration and Eligibility
If you have passed Std. 12 or an equivalent examination in 2026, or are planning to appear for the examination in 2027, you can apply for UCEED 2027, subject to fulfilling the prescribed eligibility criteria.
No matter if you are from Science, Commerce, or Arts & Humanities streams you are eligible to appear for the examination. This enables candidates from different academic backgrounds to pursue undergraduate education in design through UCEED.
Candidates must complete the application process online and upload the required documents in the prescribed format. These include a recent photograph, signature and proof of age. Candidates appearing for Std. 12 in 2027 must also submit the required certificate from their school, college, or examination board.
UCEED 2027 Registration Deadline
The entrance examination will provide eligible students with an opportunity to seek admission to Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) programmes at leading institutes across India. The online registration process began on 1 October, 2026 with the regular registration deadline set for 31 October, 2026.
