As the SSC and HSC 2025 Board Exams approach, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) continues to take serious measures towards ensuring fair assessments across schools through its ‘Copy Mukt Abhiyaan’ initiative. In a notice dated 04 February, 2025, the MSBSHSE released a set of measures that will be implemented in the 2025 Board exams for SSC and HSC.

New Measures Introduced in ‘Copy Mukt Abhiyaan’
- Surveillance will be increased at sensitive exam centres with the help of drone cameras. This will be implemented under the guidance of district authorities.
- The district administration will be responsible for ensuring that all required facilities at the exam centre are in place a day before the exam.
- There will be video surveillance outside the exam centres to monitor the process.
- Special teams consisting of mobile and stationary inspection units will be placed at all exam centres with the help of government officials and staff across the districts.
- Moreover, facial recognition systems will be implemented to verify the identities of exam supervisors, invigilators, and other exam staff.
- The Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices Act, 1982, will be imposed and any malpractice will lead to legal action like filing of non-bailable offenses.
- Xerox centres within a 500-metre radius of the exam centre will remain closed.
- Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code will be implemented near the exam centres.
