Important Instructions Before You Raise an OMR Challenge
Before submitting a challenge, make sure you keep these important points in mind:
1. Review Your OMR Sheet Carefully
Compare the scanned OMR image with the responses displayed on the portal before submitting any objection.
2. Only Properly Darkened Responses Are Valid
Only responses where the appropriate circle has been completely darkened using a Blue or Black Ball Point Pen will be treated as valid.
3. Selected Only One Option Per Question
If more than one circle has been darkened for a question, the response will be treated as invalid and will attract negative marking according to the prescribed marking scheme.
Responses Cannot Be Changed
Once marked on the OMR sheet, a response cannot be altered. Any overwriting or modification may affect how the OMR scanner reads your answer.
4. Stray Marks Instruction
Unintended spots, partial markings, or stray marks on the OMR sheet may be interpreted incorrectly by the OMR scanner.
5. Challenges Must Be Genuine
If a challenge is found to be based on a manipulated or tampered scanned image of the OMR sheet, it will be treated as a case of Unfair Means (UFM), and appropriate action may be initiated as per the applicable rules.
NEET 2026 Re-test Answer Key Challenge Has Already Closed
The NTA has clarified that the Answer Key Challenge for NEET (UG) 2026 re-test has already concluded. At this stage, you can only challenge discrepancies related to your recorded OMR responses. No further challenges to the answer key will be accepted.
