According to the official data released by NTA:
- Registered candidates: 22,79,743
- Candidates appeared: 19,99,895
- Candidates absent: 2,79,848
- Qualified candidates: 11,21,185
While registrations remained almost at the same level as 2025, the number of candidates who appeared for the examination was lower in 2026.
