The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an important advisory for candidates appearing in the NEET (UG) 2026 Re-Examination, scheduled to be held on 21 June, 2026. To ensure a smooth and hassle-free entry into the examination centre, candidates must follow the prescribed dress code and security guidelines.

NEET 2026 Dress Code and Permissible Items for Re-Test
NTA has issued the following dress code instructions for all candidates:
- Light clothing: Light clothing is preferred. Candidates may wear full-sleeve clothing or woollen garments, if required.
- Slippers and low-heeled footwear: Slippers and low-heeled footwear are recommended. Candidates wearing high-heeled footwear may undergo additional security checks.
Religious Attire and Articles of Faith
Candidates are allowed to wear articles or objects of faith, including:
- Religious symbols
- Kalawas
- Turbans
- Hijabs
However, candidates wearing these items must report to the examination centre well before the reporting time to facilitate proper frisking by the examination staff.
Items Allowed Inside the Examination Hall
Candidates are permitted to carry only the following items permitted as per the advisory:
- Transparent water bottles.
- Admit card kept inside a transparent plastic pouch to protect it.

Prohibited Items at the Examination Centre
Candidates must not carry the following items inside the examination hall:
- Mobile phones
- Smartwatches
- Bluetooth devices
- Earphones
- Any communication device
- Metallic items
- Large belt buckles
- Heavy jewellery
Note: Carrying any prohibited item may lead to denial of entry.

Mandatory Security Checks
All candidates will undergo mandatory frisking before entering the examination hall.
