How to Challenge the NEET UG 2026 Provisional Answer Key
If you believe an answer in the provisional key is incorrect, you can submit an online challenge by following these steps.
Step 1: Enter Your Question Paper Series Code
Enter the Question Paper Series Code printed on your NEET UG 2026 test booklet and challenge questions only under your own Series Code.
Step 2: Select the Questions to Challenge
Choose the NEET UG 2026 answer key question(s) you want to challenge from the provisional answer key.
Step 3: Upload Supporting Documents
You must upload documentary evidence supporting your challenge, such as NCERT books, standard textbooks (with chapter and page number), or other reputable academic publications, as only authentic and verifiable sources will be considered.
Step 4: Review Your Challenges
Carefully review all your NEET UG 2026 answer key objections before submission, as no changes or additions can be made after you submit.
Step 5: Pay the Challenge Fee
Pay the ₹200 processing fee per question through Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking, as your challenge will be processed only after successful payment.
Step 6: Submit Your Challenge
Confirm that your Series Code matches your test booklet and submit your NEET UG 2026 answer key challenge for expert review, keeping in mind that submission is allowed only once.
Step 7: Save the Acknowledgement
After successfully submitting your NEET UG 2026 answer key challenge, download or save the acknowledgement and payment receipt for future reference.
NEET UG 2026 Answer Key Challenge Fee and Refund Policy
How Much Is the Challenge Fee?
You need to pay ₹200 per question challenged.
Will the Fee Be Refunded?
Yes. If the expert panel accepts your challenge, the ₹200 processing fee for that question will be refunded in full.
What Happens After You Submit Your NEET UG 2026 Answer Key Challenge?
Every objection submitted within the challenge period will be reviewed by designated subject experts.
If a challenge is accepted:
- The provisional answer key will be revised.
- The revised answer will apply uniformly to candidates across all four question paper sets.
- Evaluation will be done using the revised final answer key.
- The processing fee for the accepted challenge will be refunded.
NTA has clarified that individual decisions on each challenge will not be communicated separately. Instead, the revised final answer key will be published before the declaration of results.
NEET UG 2026 OMR Response Sheet Update
The individual scanned OMR response sheets are not part of the current answer key challenge process, as OMR scanning is still underway.
Once scanning is complete, you will receive a separate opportunity to view your individual scanned OMR response sheet.
NEET UG 2026 Final Answer Key
After the challenge window closes on June 28, 2026, subject experts will review all valid objections.
The revised final answer key will then be published and used for evaluating all scanned OMR responses. No further objections regarding the answer key will be accepted.
