The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a public notice dated January 16, 2025, on the conduct of NEET (UG) 2025. The NEET Exam has been conducted by the NTA since 2019 on behalf of the National Medical Commission (NMC).
Here are the guidelines given by the NTA in the notice:
- NTA announced that there will be a common and uniform NEET (UG) for admission to undergraduate courses in each of the disciplines, including BAMS, BUMS, and BSMS courses of the Indian System of Medicine in all Medical Institutions governed under the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine Act, 2020. NEET (UG) will also apply for admission to the BHMS course under the National Commission for Homeopathy.
- Military Nursing Service (MNS) aspirants applying to B.Sc. Nursing Courses, conducted at Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals for the year 2025, are required to qualify for NEET (UG). The score of NEET (UG) will be a basis for shortlisting and selection to the four-year B.Sc. Nursing course.
- The NEET (UG) 2025 will be conducted in a pen-and-paper mode (OMR-based) in a single day and single shift.
- The scores and merit list for NEET UG 2025 will be applicable for admissions to BDS and BVSc & AH courses in accordance with the rules governed by respective regulatory bodies.
