Official Notice for NEET (UG) 2025 Round 1 Seat Resignation Window
NEET 2025 Round 1 Seat Resignation Window
The resignation window for NEET UG 2025 round 1 seat is valid from: 21 August, 2025 (11:00 a.m.) to 25 August, 2025 (05:00 p.m.)
What Does MCC’s Round-1 Resignation Rule Mean for NEET UG 2025 Candidates?
If you were allotted a seat in Round-1 of NEET UG 2025 counselling and have already reported to the college, you still have the option to resign. Whether it’s due to location, course preference, or waiting for better options, you can now step back. The best part—your security deposit will not be forfeited.
This option also ensures that students can stay in line for Round-2 and further rounds of NEET UG 2025 counselling.
Step-by-Step: How to Resign Your NEET Round-1 Seat Without Losing Deposit
MCC has issued clear instructions that students must follow:
1. If you joined and obtained a Seat Confirmation Letter
- You must visit your allotted college physically.
- Request the college to process your resignation.
- Ensure that a Resignation Letter is generated online through the MCC portal.
2. If you did not obtain a Seat Confirmation Letter
- You don’t need to report to the college.
- Your seat exit will be treated as a Free Exit, meaning you are automatically eligible for further rounds without deposit loss.
3. Mandatory step for all candidates
- Double-check that your NEET UG round 1 seat resignation is officially reflected in the MCC portal.
- Without this online resignation letter, your withdrawal will be treated as Null and Void.
Important Reminder for NEET UG 2025 Counselling Candidates
If you are planning to resign, make sure you do it before 05:00 p.m. on 25 August, 2025. Once the deadline passes, the option to resign without forfeiture will no longer be available. Also, remember that every decision you make in counselling impacts your final admission.
