The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell) has announced stricter monitoring of social media platforms to curb the spread of misleading and false information about entrance examinations and the Centralised Admission Process (CAP).
The CET Cell conducts common entrance examinations and manages admissions to various professional undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Recently, it observed that incomplete, misleading, and false claims about examination schedules, results, and admission procedures were being circulated on social media, causing confusion among students and parents.
To address this issue, the CET Cell has decided to take legal action against individuals and accounts spreading misleading information.
