Good news for schools and students preparing for the Maharashtra SSC Std. 10 Board exams in February–March 2026. The deadline to submit examination application forms has officially been extended.
Here is what you need to know.
Why was the Maharashtra SSC Board Exam 2026 Application Deadline Extended?
The original last date to submit application forms for students appearing in the SSC (Std. 10) February–March 2026 examination was 30 January, 2026. This deadline had already been communicated to all Divisional Boards.
After the deadline passed, several schools approached their respective Divisional Board offices and requested additional time to complete the application process. Taking these requests into account, a formal proposal for an extension was submitted to the government.
Based on the government’s approval, the Maharashtra SSC Board exam 2026 application form deadline has now been extended.
Maharashtra SSC Board Exam 2026 Application Form New deadline with Late Fee
As per the latest official communication, schools can submit SSC Class 10 examination application forms until 9 February, 2026.
However, it is important to note that submissions during this extended window will be accepted with a super special late fee. Schools should plan accordingly and ensure that all pending forms are completed within this revised timeline.
What Schools Should Do Next
Divisional Boards have been instructed to inform all schools under their jurisdiction about this extension. Schools are advised to do the following:
- Immediately review pending student applications
- Complete the form-filling process without delay
- Submit all applications before 9 February, 2026
- Inform students and parents about the revised deadline
This extension is a valuable second chance. Missing it could create complications for students who are scheduled to appear for the upcoming Board exams.
