Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling, 2026: Who Can Register?
For Maharashtra MBBS and BDS admission, 2026, only candidates who have qualified NEET UG, 2026 are eligible to participate in this CAP phase.
If you are applying for admission through the Maharashtra State Quota, you must complete the registration process with the Maharashtra State Competent Authority. Registration for All India Quota counselling alone will not be considered sufficient for participating in the State Quota counselling process.
Note: Simply registering for the CAP process does not guarantee admission. Your admission will depend on fulfilling all eligibility conditions and successful document verification.
Documents Required for Maharashtra MBBS BDS CAP, 2026 Registration
During the Maharashtra NEET UG CAP, 2026 application process, you need to upload all required original documents in the prescribed format.
Make sure that the details entered in your application form are accurate and complete. Failure to upload the required documents within the given timeline may result in your category claims not being considered or your application being cancelled.
If you are applying under a reservation category, you must claim the category while filling the application form and keep the necessary documents ready, including:
- Caste Certificate
- Caste Validity Certificate
- Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (where applicable)
Maharashtra NEET UG CAP, 2026 Important Instructions for EWS, OBC, SEBC & PWD Candidates
EWS Certificate Requirements for NEET UG CAP, 2026
If you are applying under the EWS category, you must submit an EWS certificate, valid for the academic year, 2026–27. It must be issued in the Maharashtra State Government prescribed format as certificates issued in the Central Government format will not be accepted.
OBC & SEBC Caste Validity Certificate Submission
As per the Government Resolution dated 2 July, 2026, OBC and SEBC candidates have been given an extended timeline for submitting their Caste Validity Certificate.
You can submit the required certificate within six months from the date of CAP registration. However, if you fail to submit the document within the given period, your admission may be cancelled and you may be responsible for any penalty related to the lapse of the seat.
PWD Candidate Guidelines for Maharashtra NEET UG CAP, 2026
If you are applying under the PWD quota, you must have claimed the quota during NEET UG, 2026.
You also need to submit a valid PWD eligibility certificate issued by one of the approved medical boards mentioned in the official notice.
Maharashtra NEET UG CAP, 2026 Choice Filling and College Joining Process
After the release of the Maharashtra NEET UG CAP, 2026 final merit list and seat matrix, you can participate in the choice/preference filling process.
If you are allotted a seat in CAP Round 1, you must report to the allotted college within the given dates with:
- Original documents
- Required fees through Demand Draft (DD)
Note: Payment through cheque will only be allowed on bank holidays. However, the cheque must be replaced with a DD on the next working day. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of admission.
Maharashtra NEET UG CAP, 2026 Updates for NRI Candidates
If you are an NRI candidate, you must complete registration on the Foreign Candidate Registration Portal before 11 August, 2026 for eligibility verification.
NRI candidates will be eligible only for 15% Institute Quota seats as per merit.
