Maharashtra HSC 2027: Revised NSQF Syllabus Announced
According to the official circular dated 17 July, 2026, the revised curriculum has been introduced under the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) for vocational (bifocal) subjects.
The revised curriculum was first implemented for Class 11 from the 2025–26 academic year, and it will now be applicable to Class 12 students from the 2026–27 academic year.
The Board has confirmed that the updated curriculum includes:
- Revised subject names
- New subject codes
- Updated assessment framework
- Practical marking scheme
- Unit-wise marks distribution
- Revised textbooks based on job roles and employability skills

New Assessment Pattern for HSC NSQF Subjects
If you are appearing for the Maharashtra HSC Examination 2027 in any of the revised NSQF vocational subjects, your examination will be conducted according to the new syllabus and assessment framework.
The revised scheme will apply to vocational subject groups, including:
- Electrical Maintenance
- Electronics Technology
- Motorcycle Servicing
- Computer Science
- Civil Engineering
- Mechanical Maintenance
- Banking, Marketing, & Salesmanship
- Animal Science & Dairy
- Crop Science
- Horticulture

Revised Class 12 NSQF Curriculum Approved by Directorate of Vocational Education and Training
The Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET), Mumbai, has approved the revised NSQF curriculum, revised textbooks, and the assessment framework prepared by the Maharashtra State Board.
Additionally, since these syllabi are recognised by the Pandit Sundarlal Sharma Central Institute of Vocational Education (PSSCIVE), Bhopal, the Directorate has granted its approval for implementation.

What Schools Need to Do
The Board has instructed higher secondary schools to:
- Obtain approval for the revised vocational subjects as per Board regulations.
- Inform teachers and students about the revised curriculum.
- Display the circular on the school notice board.
- Submit an action taken report to the respective Divisional Board.
