The State CET Cell Maharashtra has officially announced an extension in the admission schedule for NRI, OCI, PIO, CIWGC, and Foreign National (FNS) candidates applying to technical education courses in Maharashtra for the academic year 2025–26. The notice, published on 14 August 2025, gives students more time to register, pay fees, and complete admission formalities online.

If you are applying under the foreign student quota in Maharashtra engineering and technical colleges, here are the updated deadlines you need to track:
- Last date for registration and payment of processing fees: 22 August, 2025 (till 11:59 p.m.)
- Admission process for OCI/PIO/CIWGC/FNS candidates: 23 August to 05 September, 2025
- Admission process for NRI candidates: 06 September to 13 September, 2025

According to the CET Cell admission notice, both colleges and candidates must follow these steps during the process:
- Colleges will verify applications, publish merit and waitlists, and confirm student fee payments through the portal.
- Students must accept offered seats, pay tuition fees online, and confirm admission before deadlines.
- Waitlisted candidates will also get notified through the portal, and must complete acceptance and payment quickly.
- Acknowledgement of fee payment will be recorded by colleges directly on the portal.
