Choose Your Document Verification Mode
During registration, you can select either:
E-Scrutiny
- Upload documents online.
- No visit to a Facilitation Centre is required.
- Applications are verified online.
- Any discrepancies must be corrected through your login.
Physical Scrutiny
- Visit your selected Scrutiny Centre/Facilitation Centre.
- Carry original documents for verification.
- Receive acknowledgement after successful verification.
Registration Fee
Candidates who registered for MHT CET 2026 are not required to pay any CAP registration fee.
For all other eligible candidates:
- ₹1,300: General, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), and J&K/Ladakh Migrant candidates applying through valid JEE (Main) or NEET (UG) scores.
- ₹1,000: Reserved category candidates from Maharashtra, along with EWS, PwD, Orphan, and Transgender candidates.
Important Notes
CAP registration is mandatory for all candidates seeking admission through CAP seats. You must:
- Register online.
- Scan and upload the required documents.
- Complete document verification through E-Scrutiny or Physical Scrutiny.
- Resolve any discrepancies or grievances raised during verification.
- Get your application confirmed. Only verified and confirmed applications will be considered for the CAP merit list and admissions.
- Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh Migrant candidates must complete registration and application confirmation at the Director, Sardar Patel College of Engineering (SPCE), Andheri (West), Mumbai. After confirmation, they must approach the allotted institute directly for admission under the applicable quota.
- If you are seeking admission through the Institutional Quota or for vacant seats after the CAP rounds, then it is mandatory to also complete CAP registration, document verification, and application confirmation through the Scrutiny Centre or E-Scrutiny process.
Important Instructions for Candidates
- Complete document verification on time. Resolve any discrepancies raised during verification within the prescribed timeline. Applications that are not verified and confirmed through E-Scrutiny or a Scrutiny Centre will be rejected and will not be included in the CAP or Non-CAP merit list.
- Keep your reservation documents ready. Reserved category candidates must produce the required Caste Validity, Tribe Validity, Non-Creamy Layer (where applicable), and EWS certificates during document verification.
- EWS candidates must submit the prescribed EWS Eligibility Certificate in the notified format.
- Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh Migrant candidates must complete application confirmation within the notified timeline. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
- If you fail to produce reservation documents, you will be treated as a General category candidate for CAP admissions. Candidates registered under a reserved category must also pay the ₹300 fee difference online if the required certificates are not produced during verification.
- Candidates who submitted only certificate receipts during registration must upload and verify the original certificates at a Scrutiny Centre and submit them to the admitted institute by the final reporting date of the fourth CAP round. Failure to do so will result in automatic cancellation of admission.
- Candidates applying under the NRI, OCI, PIO, CIWGC, or Foreign National quota must follow the admission process through the dedicated admission portal. OCI admissions will be subject to the applicable Supreme Court directions.
- Orphan Reservation will be implemented as per the Government of Maharashtra guidelines.
- Defence Reservation will be implemented as per the applicable Government of Maharashtra and Government of India rules.
- Registration, document verification, and application confirmation are mandatory for all candidates seeking admission through CAP, Institutional Quota, or seats remaining vacant after CAP.
- Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh Migrant candidates seeking admission under the reserved quota must complete application confirmation and subsequently approach the designated institute for admission, as specified in the official notification.
- The Option Form filling and CAP Seat Allotment schedule will be announced separately by the Maharashtra State CET Cell.
