What is CAP and How Do You Apply?
CAP = Centralised Admission Process. It’s the fair, streamlined system through which Maharashtra state allocates seats in pharmacy colleges.
Here's the simplified step-by-step process:
Step 1: Register Online
Go to www.mahacet.org and fill your details.
Step 2: Upload Documents
Scan and upload all necessary documents (HSC marksheet, caste/EWS certificates, domicile, etc.)
Step 3: Select Your Verification Method:
You have two choices:
E-Scrutiny (Online Verification)
- Just upload scanned copies from your phone or computer.
- The team verifies them online.
- If errors are found, they’ll tell you via your login dashboard. You can fix and resubmit.
Physical Scrutiny (Offline Verification)
- Visit your chosen Facilitation Center (FC).
- Get your documents scanned and verified on the spot.
- You’ll get a confirmation receipt once it’s done.
What Documents Do You Need?
Here’s what you’ll likely need to upload:
- 10th and 12th marksheets
- CET/NEET scorecard
- Nationality/Domicile certificate
- Caste/Tribe Validity Certificate (if applicable)
- Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (valid till March 2026)
- EWS Certificate (if applicable)
- Aadhaar card
- Passport-sized photo
- Signature scan
What If You Miss Documents?
If you’re:
- From reserved categories but don’t upload valid certificates — you’ll be treated as General category
- Registered under a reserved category but lack documents — you’ll need to pay ₹200 extra
- Not confirming your form on time — your application will be cancelled, and your name won’t appear on the merit list
What Happens After the Merit List?
- The Provisional Merit List will be displayed on 18 July
- If there’s an error, raise a grievance by 21 July
- The Final Merit List comes out on 23 July
- After that, seat selection and college allotment (CAP Rounds) will start – schedule for that will be announced later
What If I Want to Apply Directly to a College?
If you’re looking for:
- Management Quota
- Vacant seats after CAP rounds
You must still:
- Register online
- Upload and verify your documents
- Then contact the college directly to apply for those seats
