Engineering CAP 2026 Registration Extended
The online registration for the Engineering CAP 2026 process began on 02 July, 2026, and the deadline has been extended to 16 July, 2026.
For admission to engineering degree programmes through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP), the CET Cell accepts:
- MHT CET scores
- JEE Main percentile
Why Were Some Candidates Unable to Fetch Their JEE Main Percentile?
As per the directions of the National Testing Agency (NTA), candidates' JEE Main percentile is fetched directly from DigiLocker while filling out the CAP application.
However, some candidates faced technical issues because the name on their JEE Main scorecard did not match the name available in DigiLocker. As a result, their JEE Main percentile could not be fetched.
The CET Cell has now coordinated with the NTA and resolved this issue.
What Should You Do If You Faced This Issue?
If You Could Not Fetch Your JEE Main Percentile Earlier
You should:
- Log in to the CAP Portal.
- Fetch your JEE Main percentile.
- Complete your CAP application process.
If Your CAP Application Doesn't Include Your JEE Main Percentile
If you confirmed your CAP application without including your JEE Main percentile, you can still update it.
You will need to unlock your application, fetch your JEE Main percentile, and make the required corrections before submitting it again.
How to Unlock Your CAP Application
-
For Candidates Verified Through E-Scrutiny
If your application was confirmed through E-Scrutiny, you must raise a Grievance to get your application unlocked.
-
For Candidates Verified Through Physical Scrutiny
If your application was confirmed through Physical Scrutiny, you should visit your respective Scrutiny Centre (FC/SC) to request that your application be unlocked.
Complete the Process Before the Deadline
The CET Cell has advised all concerned candidates to complete their application or correction process within the prescribed time.
If you fail to complete the required process within the deadline, your application will not be considered for inclusion in the merit list.
