The procedure of registration can be undertaken any time of the year as the portal is always open for candidates. Usually the examinations take place in the months of June and December every year. So the candidates have to make sure that they are registering themselves for each exam at least nine months prior to the month in which the exam is supposed to take place. CS Foundation Syllabus 2019

ICSI has introduced a new syllabus for the foundation programme of CS. The syllabus has been changed under ICSI notification no. 4 in the year 2017. According to this new revised syllabus, the course comprises of four main subjects (papers). These four papers are:

1. Business Environment and Law
2. Business Management, Ethics and Entrepreneurship
3. Business Economics
4. Fundamentals of Accounting and Auditing

CS Foundation Course June Examination 2019: Exam Dates and Details

The dates for the examination that is going to be held in June of this year are duly announced. ICSI CS Foundation Examination 2019 is scheduled on June 8^th and 9^th of the present year. As usual, the exam is going to be conducted by ICSI. The candidates willing to undertake the examination in 2019 can start applying for it from the fourth week of February 2019. The applications are being filled-up and submitted on the official website of ICSI (website link: icsi.edu). The examination is computerised and will take place online. The questions will be in the form of MCQs.

CS Foundation Exam Pattern 2019

The CS Foundation exam pattern is quite simple to understand. As once mentioned, the questions will have multiple-choice answers and the candidates are supposed to choose the right option from the given choices.

The exams will take place over two days. The total time allotted for each day's exam is an hour and thirty minutes (a total of 90 minutes). As the syllabus consists of total of four papers, each candidate has to undertake the exam for two papers in a single day. The exam for the 1^st and 2^nd papers will be held on the same day, this exam consists of total 100 questions (MCQs). Similarly, the exam for the 3^rd and 4^th paper will be held in a single day, consisting of 100 questions in total. The best part is that there is no negative marking in this exam.

The CS Foundation Exam can be undertaken in English or in Hindi. The candidate can choose the language in which he/she wants to write the exam. However, this option is not available in case of the topic of Business Communication.

The admit cards will be available for the students 15 days prior to the scheduled exam dates. It will be available to be downloaded on the official website is ICSI. The students can log in with the help of their registration number and download the admit card. It has to be noted that no hard copies of the admit card are sent to the students individually. Therefore, if you are sitting for the CS Foundation Examination this year, then make sure you get a copy of your admit card downloaded in the due time. Another essential point is that the candidates are supposed to carry their Student Identity Card with themselves, in order to get entry to the examination centre, failing which might result in terrible consequences.
