Here’s an important updated for CET 2026 aspirants.
I know the registration process for an entrance exam can be tough at times, but here’s a crucial update that you cannot miss. The State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell) issued a public notice regarding the Aadhaar Authentication for CET 2026 registration.
Let me break it down for you in a simple way.

Official notice for CET 2026 Aadhaar authentication
Flexibility for Students with Aadhaar and APAAR Problems
It was noticed by the CET Cell that many students faced difficulties while completing the Aadhaar and APAAR (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) authentication during the CET 2026 registration process.
Though Aadhaar authentication continues to be the preferred mode of verification, but if you face technical issues and cannot complete it, you can still submit your application form without Aadhaar and APAAR authentication. You can avail this facility from 13 February, 2026.
Why This Change Matters
The CET Cell has recognised these issues and has introduced special measures to ensure that no eligible candidate is inconvenienced or loses the opportunity to complete the CET registration process.
Important Instructions for CET 2026 Aspirants
The CET Cell has advised those candidates who are able to complete their Aadhaar and APAAR authentication process to follow the earlier notified process.
To support students’ academic interests, the CET Cell has also officially extended the online registration and application confirmation dates for MHT-CET 2026.
Final Thoughts
These changes and flexibility in the registration process is a positive development for many students who struggled with authentication in the earlier days of registration. This will reduce students stress and support inclusive participation in CET 2026.
