What is the Wild Wisdom Global Challenge 2026?
The Wild Wisdom Global Challenge (WWGC) is an annual initiative by WWF-India, running since 2008. The programme encourages students to discover the fascinating world of biodiversity and wildlife conservation through an engaging and interactive learning experience.
This year's challenge focuses on marine ecosystems and inspires students to understand their role in protecting nature from an early age.
Wild Wisdom Global Challenge 2026 Theme
The theme for WWGC 2026 is ‘From the Coastline to the Seafloor – An Ocean Odyssey’
Through this theme, you'll explore marine life across six exciting areas:
- Marine diversity and distribution
- World beneath the waves
- Life functions underwater
- Adaptations and behaviour
- Challenges to ocean health
- Human-ocean interaction and conservation stewardship
CBSE Wild Wisdom Global Challenge 2026: Eligibility
You can participate in the Wild Wisdom Global Challenge 2026 if you are a student studying in Class 6, 7, 8, or 9.
Schools affiliated with CBSE are requested to encourage maximum participation among eligible students.

Levels of the Wild Wisdom Global Challenge 2026
Round 1 – Classroom Level (Virtual)
Timeline: July–September 2026
The first round of the competition includes:
- A series of quizzes conducted virtually on the WWGC website.
- You will attempt quizzes online during the classroom-level phase.
- Scores from each quiz will be recorded and accumulated throughout the series.
- Based on the cumulative scores, the top two students from each classroom will qualify for the next level.
Round 2 – State Level (Virtual)
Timeline: September–October 2026
- Top qualified students will participate in the State Level round.
- The competition will be conducted online on a digital platform.
- Top-performing participants will advance to the next level.
Round 3 – Zonal Level (On-ground)
Timeline: November 2026
- The top two winning teams from each state will qualify for the Zonal Level.
- A total of five zonal rounds will be conducted across India.
- Qualified teams will compete in their respective zonal rounds through on-ground events.
- Zonal winners will advance to the next level of the Wild Wisdom Global Challenge.
Round 4 – National Finale (On-ground)
Timeline: November 2026
- The top five winning teams from each zone will qualify for the on-ground National Level round to be held in Delhi.
- Zonal winners will compete to determine the National Champion of the Wild Wisdom Global Challenge.
Round 5 – International Finale
Timeline: December 2026
- The National Champion will represent the country at the global level on a virtual platform.
- Teams will compete against top participants from around the world to become the Global Champion.
Note: All levels of the challenge will be conducted in English language, only.

State, Zonal & National Level Awards
